THE WINE-MAKING PROCESS The vinification is specific to each vintage year depending upon some natural and climatic constraints. In a general way, the fermentation of wine takes place in stainless steel vats with thermoregulation, then certain wines are matured in oak barrels for several months.
THE SOILS Formed by the Garonne river during the Quaternary era, the Graves region hostile to any cultivation offered privileged characteristics for wine-growing. Our parcels are located on a clay limestone soil covered with pebbles which is ideal for grape ripening. Thus, the combination of this soil with each grape variety gives unique aromatic qualities to the Graves wines.
THE VINEYARD The vineyard covers 10 ha and extends to two municipalities, Landiras and Fargues de Langon. This vineyard consists of 5 ha of red grape-varieties (Merlot and Cabernet sauvignon) and 5 ha of white grape-varieties (Semillon and Sauvignon) of which a little more than one ha is in the Sauternes appellation.
